I am Jeff Keightley (local to Astoria salmon fishing guide) and I would love to take you salmon fishing, sturgeon fishing, bottom fishing (for rockfish like Ling Cod and Sea Bass) Sturgeon fishing and dungeness crab fishing. We are booking trips for next year also.
A couple of prime days for keeper sturgeon are already booked (we are assuming the season will be structured like the last few years, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from mid May to the end of the first week in June). This oportunity is very limited! I send 4-6 informational emails per year, mostly in the spring time, when seasons are announced.

Ocean salmon fishing is normally very good. Early morning depatures and typically a mid day finish. 2 salmon limit, only 1 can be a Chinook. Typically, a million Chinook pass right in front of Astoria on their annual migration up the Columbia river. Anglers best chance all year of catching king salmon.
About the Boat

What makes a good lower Columbia and ocean fishing boat: Big, fast and maneuverable. My custom made Pic-Nic welding guide sled has particularly high sides, is nearly 30ft long, 9 1/2 feet wide, extremely heavy and has a 19 degree deep V front to back. Powered with a 2016 250Hp Yamaha 4 stroke main outboard and a 2015 9.9hp Yamaha 4 stroke kicker.
