Oconee Brewing Company is a craft beer production facility with a tasting room. A 3,600 square foot Event Center includes an 18 foot high, floor to ceiling, glass curtain wall that opens to an outdoor patio. Guests are invited to use our Event Center or patio, where tables have been placed at responsible distances.
Plenty of malt and hop flavors and a distinct aroma. Four different hop varieties (Columbus, Amarillo, Galaxy, and El Dorado) are added throughout the brewing process that contribute floral, tropical, and citrus characteristics. Juicy and refreshing. It's wicked awesome! Unique Saison brewed with French Saison Ale Yeast and artfully blended with Blackbird Coffee.

Taylor grew up in Augusta, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he worked as a personal banker in Greensboro, Georgia. He pretty quickly decided that was not the career path for him, so he grew a beard and set on the journey of becoming a Master Brewer. He was an assistant brewer at Triangle Brewing Company in Durham, North Carolina, for two years.

In December of 2020, we released our collaboration with Waffle House - Bacon & Kegs red ale! Some people said that we saved the year. Dark red in color. The beloved scent of bacon stands out from the typical medium hop aroma of a red ale. The malty sweetness of the base beer blends perfectly with the salty, savory, and smokey bacon extract to create a delicious and unique beer.

Building a small factory to produce craft beer that will be sold by a distributor isn't necessary. You can sell directly to your consumer out of your tasting room, which is the most profitable segment of most small breweries. Project Hummingbird capitalizes on that fact and brings the capital needed to start a brewery into manageable focus by reducing equipment costs by hundreds of thousands of dollars.
