Philosophy
Report
We believe that a child's preschool experience should be one in which the foundations are laid for a lifetime of learning through appropriate early childhood educational experiences. Children are best prepared for academic learning when they have had opportunities for rich experiences in hands-on learning.
Programs
Report
Co-op offers programs for children ages 2-8. We offer some extended days until 2 pm on Monday-Friday at our Rosemont Garden campus. Our Clays Mill campus offers extended days on Monday and Friday. Children eat lunch together and enjoy additional time for play. In the summer, Camp Co-op will offer two to four sessions lasting two weeks each.

What are my parent commitments? Parent participation is a multilevel commitment. You will assist in the classroom regularly, depending on how often your child attends. For example, you will assist in the classroom approximately 12 times during the year if your child attends twice a week. All parents will receive training before working in the classroom.
Work Day Tips
Report
Parent participation is an integral part of the experience at the Fayette Cooperating Preschool and Kindergarten. As a Co-op parent, you will find that your workday is very special to your child. Children enjoy sharing their "special person" with the class and teacher.

The Co-op work agreement provides each class with additional adults and maintains our ratio of children to adults at no more than 5 to 1 for the preschool and kindergarten programs, and no more than 4 to 1 for the two year-old program.Extra adults allow for more activities, small groups and special attention.
Snack Day Tips
Report
Co-op suggests that snack consist of three of the following four groups: fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. Which three groups is totally up to you and your child. Co-op discourages the use of refined sugar and instead promotes more nutritious choices. The following is just a brief list of suggestions, but feel free to be as creative as you like.
