Rancho Encantado offers outstanding south Texas whitetail deer hunts and is located in the center of the famous "Golden Triangle" situated in the Southeast corner of Dimmit County, Texas. No location in Texas has produced more or bigger trophy whitetail. Originally the headquarters of the famous "Light Ranch", Rancho Encantado was purchased in 1992 from George Light III.

The new owner, Jack Brittingham, changed the name to Rancho Encantado or "Enchanted Ranch" because of the sensation one gets while peering into the prime south Texas brush country. We welcome you to our site, and invite you to have a look around. Please feel free to contact us for more information through our catalog page, and while you are here, don't forget to visit our video and trophy galleries!

Deer Hunting

Drop tines will be billed at an extra $200 per inch. This fee will only be added to the total length of the drop tine points. For instance, if a deer is a 160 class with 10 of drop tines, the total cost would be $9,500. This price would cover the $7,500 cost of a 160 inch buck and the extra $200 per inch fee assessed over the total 10 of drop tines.
Exotic Hunting
Report
Rancho Encantado offers Pure Russian Boar hunting and Sable Antelope hunting. Sable are primarily grazers and were chosen to control grassy type plants since no cattle exist on the ranch. We maintain tight control of these species so that they do not compete with the whitetail herd. We offer hunts for superb males.
Stories

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of hunting with Jack on numerous occasions in a variety of settings around the world. Jack has drawn from all those experiences to ensure that Rancho Encantado lives up to a hunter's expectations. From the private landing strip (something we pilots really appreciate) to the lodge several.
