Aviation is a fun and rewarding experience, however the financial cost can be a roadblock for some aspiring pilot's dreams to take flight. At Vermont Flight Academy we understand the affordability of pilot training is different for each and every one of you. Below is a list of resources applicable for aviation financial assistance.
Non US Citizens
Report
If you are not a U.S. Citizen, you must get approval through the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) to train in the United States. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires all non US Citizens to apply for and receive authorization to begin any flight training in the US. This program is called the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) and includes an online application, finger print submission, and background check.
Insurance
Report
Aviation Non-Owner Insurance is required for all students, and renters prior to any solo flights occurring. When using VFA's recommended insurance provider, the Silver, Gold and Platinum coverage packages meet our minimums. However, the most cost-effective choice would be to manually select VFA's coverage minimums listed above from the "Coverages" section of the insurance application.
Testing Center
Report
At Vermont Flight Academy we proctor a range of examinations, including FAA examinations. Our testing center is open Monday - Friday, excluding Holidays. Remember, all payments, changes or cancellations should be addressed with PSI. Vermont Flight Academy is not responsible for changing, cancelling or refunding any examination reservations.
