Considering that Hillary Hayward-Thomas graduated from school here, yet wound up barely able to speak in English in adulthood, I would say that the education here is lacking. She didn't even know how to pronounce the word "cucumber" in English.

A disastrous experience for our family. Thought we were sending our child into a community of thoughtful and caring educators who claimed to meet adolescent learners where they were. Not the case. Some indifferent teachers, some truly engaged. The guidance counselors acted too little too late--we asked them to gather parents together to discuss widespread depression among my child's peer group. That was ignored. By the time four students had been hospitalized with suicidal urges it was too late for our child. She had to leave the school and repeat ninth grade again elsewhere. A sad chapter

I'm a current parent of one day student here, with another child boarding at a HADES school, so I've got some sense of comparison, and I think CSW is a great place for a teen to be, even just "a regular kid" like mine. It's rigorous but not intense or competitive. Unlike many prep schools, playing three

It's a pretty magical place, to be honest. Lots of attention on kids, lots of awesome adults, and good people at its core. It's had a long history of finding its footing and it's great to see so many thriving kids and adults alike. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a school that "gets" teenagers and helps them become their best selves.

The staff and teachers are very friendly here, I would say that they want to be friends with the students than actually pushing them and challenging them to work. It is very hard to understand how sending a child to this school would actually benefit the person attending.
