Caffe Torino

Weak. Arrived on time with reservation for four. Waitress seated us with menus and returned to take our orders telling us they didn't have any of several pizzas listed or any eggplant or bolognese lasagna. One would think they'd tell you the menu discrepancies before everyone decided what they wanted to eat. Oh well, start over. Drinks were plentiful and served without delay. Then came our entrees. Two requests for spaghetti and meatballs to replace the missing lasagnas was a mistake. The spaghetti was luke warm and the meatballs were on the dry side. Oh, I forgot to mention as did

Met friends here...sat out on patio and asked for heaters to be turned on.

Two had the arugula toast and two of us had the eggs Benedict. All meals were good but we all asked for extra crispy potatoes. She said not a problem and what we got were packaged potato cubes thrown into the deep fryer. No seasoning whatsoever and when we asked we were told that all the rosemary just floated to the top in the deep fryer. Other than that great meal!

I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. The food was served rotten, cold, and the service was terrible. When we confronted the owner she was unapologetic and rude. The owner said we just didn't understand the food which is funny since we're full blooded Italians. Here's a step by step: we arrive with a reservation at 1pm and they don't seat until 1:20. We can hear the chef swearing in the kitchen behind us. The service was slow. We had two diabetics in our party and asked for Diet Coke and they brought us regular coke (very dangerous). Half the menu wasn't available

My favorite spot in the area so far, quite comfortable and amazing food, staff and service.

Last night, my first, and probably my last time to eat at this place. They don't serve Ministrone soup. What self- respecting Italian eatery doesn't serve this staple? I wanted eggplant parmesan and they were out of eggplant. So,
I order a Caesar Salad. They served it with capers?! And no dressing?! Waiter brought me ranch dressing, claiming he was told it was Caesar Salad dressing. The other 3 people I was with tasted the dressing and confirmed it was ranch dressing. He asked if Balsamic vinegar would be okay, and I accepted, because I sure didn't want ranch. Also, waiter

This is our third visit and first time for dinner. Lunch is a great deal with reduced menu. Dinner menu is robust offering one of my favorites, Veal Picatta. The veal piccata was a bit expensive at $31. But it was Generous meal with the veal very tender and the pasta just right. The wait staff is challenged but the food is excellent. Highly recommend for Oro Valley.

It was lovely and everyone was nice. Dinner on Sunday after 7 was easy to get a table on the patio with no other diners nearby. Pretty sunset, bread with refills, good selection of wine by the glass. The salad was fresh. The osso bucco fell off the bone. Savory meat balls. The seafood in my dish was cooked perfectly and with good broth. It's a bit pricey but worth it for the atmosphere. Pasta all cooked perfectly. I wish they had some homemade tagliatelle on the menu (maybe I missed it- was focused on the seafood) but overall it was perfect.

Went here for the first time tonight and I have so many problems with it.

In no particular order:

1. We made reservations and they failed to mentioned the AC wasn't working properly when we called. So it was hot and gross. Probably poor ventilation too which certainly doesn't make the next point better. Oh, for the record we called to make reservations at a DIFFERENT restaurant a week or so ago and they warned us when we called that their AC wasn't working right. I appreciated that.

2. Both our server and another I saw were wearing "protest masks". Delta variant is

We had a lovely dinner outside on their pet-friendly patio. All our food came out hot and delicious! Service was also great. In addition to our attentive server, multiple other team members checked on us, refilling water and asking about our experience. They had a nice outdoor AC that kept us cool. Would eat there again for sure!

Cafe Torino is like home to me, such a cozy place. I’m visiting this place almost everyday, sometimes twice a day for 7 years my life in UAE Dubai. Very helpful and friendly team. Actually mostly I come there, because of them 😌 The best shisha service in JBR and affordable price for such location to compare with other restaurants. Tasty food 😋

We have dined at Cafe Torino for a number of years and have always enjoyed excellent food and service. Tonight was the exception. As usual, the food was top notch. The service was seriously lacking. As nearly as we could tell, one waiter was handling the entire half of the dining room. We had to ask for a second plate of bread for our table of 7. Second drinks were very late and although we would have ordered 3rds, none were offered. Our reservation was for 6pm. Our entrees arrived at shortly before 8 pm. My husband uses a wheelchair and simply could not sir that long. We ended up getting

We walked in and stood in a busy restaurant a while until we were even acknowledged. We got a lovely table outside and it took over a half hour to have a waiter stop by to get a glass of wine. We ordered our food at the same time as our drink order. An hour and a half later with one quick stop by our server letting us know he would check on our order, we left. We left money on the table for our wine. Other folks who came in after us were served. No one deserves to be ignored like we were.

A Tuesday night, and the place was busy, but not slammed. We were able to get seated without a reservation.

It took an hour to get our food from the time we ordered. I expected the food to be cold after such a long wait, but everything was the correct temperature and tasted great. Maybe the kitchen was short-staffed tonight?

Brunch on the patio is perfect if you want plenty of physical distancing. It was nice and quiet at 2pm. The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the Niçoise salad and my friend ordered the capricciosa. My salad was a-ok. The patio wasn't packed which I particularly liked. So far, the menu at Torino remains a 3. It's a-ok. In this area I'll take the quiet patio over the spring break patio at noble hops any day.

Amazing Cafe! Service is immaculate. Definitely recommend the waitress Joelle. She’s so welcoming and polite. She deserves to be paid more! Overall, recommend this place; great food and shisha!

Came here with my husband for my Birthday. We chose to sit outside, they have heat lamps which was nice. Service was good. Which is always appreciated. They first give you some rosemary bread that is not heated, with plain olive oil. We then started with calamari for an appetizer, it was just ok, then shared a spinach salad that they split for us. I'm a salad person and neither of us enjoyed it. It tasted dry as if there was zero dressing, we had to sprinkle some olive oil on it to make it edible. Pleasantly surprised with this place located in the plaza level. Good ambiance and I love its outdoor seating. I really like their chef's well cooked chicken biryani and well done lamb chopped. Highly appreciated Gen who served us well. She's very nice and accommodating. The complimentary coffee with slices of sweets are something that touched me too. I didn't expect that they have this Italian way of cheering up customers by giving complimentary coffee after meals. Happy that I tried this restaurant and I will come again.

Food was phenomenal! Service? WOW...don't order bottomless mimosas if you want full glasses of mimosas or even water! 1 server for Father's Day? Seriously!?!? I've come here from day one...not sure I'll return :( This isn't a server issue...she was trying so hard; this is all on management...planning is key; don't blame COVID.

*Update: I had a couple that stopped to engage US; we didn't say anything to them but they actually stopped to ask us how our service was. We talked and agreed that we had all been here before and enjoyed the food and service. Their opinion

We happened to stop here on a whim this morning. Not realizing they were open for breakfast, we saw cars and decided to check it out. I'm pleasantly surprised and not sure why we'd haven't stopped before! I ordered the breakfast sandwich with side potatoes. The sandwich has rosemary ham, egg, provolone on ciabatta and the flavors are perfect together. Hubby ordered the Torino scramble with included eggs, bacon, spinach, and Parmesan. He very much enjoyed it!

Service was a little choppy, but nothing too bad. Looking forward to trying more on the menu!

Great chef!! The Kibbe (meat balls) and tabooleh he makes are exactly like the ones my mom in Syria makes! Gave me a sense of nostalgia! The prices are great considering the variety and quality of food and their shisha is nice too.

Wow! We went to Caffe Torino on a Saturday night and got a table--the restaurant was crowded. Our server, Brody, welcomed us and recommended an Italian red, Montepulciano, which was perfect with our food--Chicken Picatta and Pollo Taleggio. We shared a delicious insalatta della casa. Great food and service. We will be back and bring some of our friends. Thank you!
