Water Filtration Systems

There are three types of affordable water treatment systems commonly used in private homes to treat water for a variety of contaminants: water filtration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange. It may be necessary to remove a contaminant because it's unhealthful to consume. Some examples are arsenic, nitrate and volatile organic compounds.

Germs (bacteria and viruses) can get into well water if the well casing is damaged or if you have a dug or shallow well. THE RESULT: Both germs and chemicals may cause unpleasant symptoms, such as upset stomach or the runs (diarrhea). Some of the chemicals also increase the chance of cancer. Even if you've had water testing done before, it may be time to test again.
Well Installation

Most wells in Maine use the rotary drilling method for a well installation, a drill bit is attached to a length of connected drill pipe. The drill bit is made of tough metals such as tungsten, and as the drill is rotated, the bit acts to grind up the rock. The broken pieces (cuttings) are flushed upward and out of the hole by circulating a drilling fluid (sometimes called drilling mud) down through the drill pipe and back to the surface.

PROBLEM: Customer had us test the water and determine there was high uranium. SOLUTION: Installed a whole house uranium ion exchange system along with a PH neutralizer to raise PH levels. PROBLEM: Customer contacted us to perform a water test at their lake house. Results indicated high uranium.
SOLUTION: Installed a 410 sediment filter along with a complete house uranium removal system followed with a PH neutralizer and also installed a UV light system per the customer's request.When my water stopped working I figured I'd need a new pump for the well. Carl drove over an hour to my house to check it out and figured out it was some wires in the well that needed fixing and the pump was fine.
