Renew Computers, founded in 1988, is the largest independent electronics recycling company in Marin County, California. We have a warehouse facility and service center centrally located in downtown San Rafael where computers and electronics are collected, sorted, repaired, reused or properly recycled.
We have a staff of qualified technicians that work hard to bring these computers back to life and fortunately we are able to reuse many quality products that would otherwise go to landfill or be scrapped. In addition to our recycling center, we operate a discount parts warehouse, retail store and service department.

Drop-off & Accepted Items
Report
You must hand items directly to a Renew Employee; dumping or just leaving items anytime is not allowed. We can help unload heavy items as well. Plasma/LCD/LED TVs and rear-projection TVs (We don't accept the original boxing/packaging). Please remember to remove any linked accounts on your devices like Apple ID, etc before recycling/donating.

Below is a general list of the refurbished Desktops and Laptops that we offer here at Renew Computers. These machines may have come from a school or corporation or organization that have upgraded to newer equipment, or they may have been donated by the public or built from the ground up using quality used parts and/or new parts too.
Service - PC and Apple Repair

Our team also specializes in PC and Apple computer repair and service. We have extensive knowledge of all computers new and old and remain up to date with the current threats facing today's modern user. We try to keep our rates lower and our turn-around time faster than other shops in Marin, especially the big box stores.
Computers for the Community

Our Computers for the Community Program was created to provide discounted desktop and laptop computers to members of our community who may not be able to afford a full price machine. These computers are the same as our standard Renew builds except we are now able to offer them at a reduced cost to you.
Data/HardDrive Destruction
Report
This service is done quickly in our shop while you wait and you may personally witness its destruction. If not concerned about your data you may drop off any hard drive or computer at no charge; It will be shredded at our downstream recycler within one to two weeks. Please take measures to wipe or clear your own devices before recycling them.
