Rogue Counseling

There are many reasons why people come to therapy. Sometimes it is to deal with long-standing psychological issues, or problems with anxiety or depression. Other times it is in response to unexpected changes in one's life such as a divorce or work transition. Many people work with a therapist as they pursue their own personal exploration and growth.

My fee is $100 for an initial consultation or 60-minute session in person or online. I offer 90-minute sessions for $150. I will need to charge you for any missed session that you fail to cancel within 24 hours, if I am unable to fill the time slot. I offer a 20% discount for cash at the time of service or for allowing me to hold a credit/debit card on file.

Regardless of how this may affect my practice financially, my intention is that my behaviors in conducting business are congruent with my values and ethics, as well as those of my licensing board and the National Association of Social Workers.

Unfortunately, like many other medical and mental health providers, I have been forced to choose between committing insurance fraud in order to get paid, or turning away clients whose presenting issues fall outside the scope of medical necessity.Quite simply, I'm tired of "pathologizing for profit".
