Founded in the late1960s, the Woodberry Hills Swim Club is a unique neighborhood sports club located in New Hartford, NY. WHSC has long been the premier swim club of the Mohawk Valley providing a first class swimming experience for families and individuals. The heated L-shaped pool, the largest of it's kind in the area, is enjoyed by thousands of swimmers each summer.
With a 12' deep end suitable for diving and competitive lap swimming as well as a 24 inch shallow end, the pool is perfect for swimmers of all ages and abilities to gain skills and fitness in the water while also having fun. In addition to our pool, our premises include a clubhouse, toddler area, full basketball court, competition horseshoe court and two tennis courts that are used for both lessons and recreation.

Rules of the Pool

WHSC will require immediate closure of the pool in the event that lightning or thunder is present in or around the area.* A reminder that members must be 12 years or older to attend the pool without being accompanied by an adult. Similarly, members or babysitters providing supervision of younger members must be 14 years of age.
Swim Lessons

The Woodberry Hills Swim Club offers swim lessons conforming to the six levels of the Red Cross learn-to-swim program. Our lessons are open to members and non-members alike. Please register your child based on previous lesson experience. The pool manager and instructors will make the final determination on the proper level for your child.
Waves Swim Team
Report
Any member age 14 and under who can swim 25 yards in our pool is welcome to join the Woodberry Waves swim team! The perfect way to introduce your child to competitive swimming, practices are held beginning in July and meets start soon thereafter. The Waves compete against the Yahundasis Sting Rays, the Cedar Lake Snapping Turtles, and the Sadaquada Octopi and the Skenandoa Narwhals.

The Woodberry Hills Swim Club operates on a very lean budget in an effort to maintain the lowest rates possible to our members. In today's world, between insurance costs, utilities, staffing, consumables, and many other expenses - operating the pool is very costly and consumes about 105% of our revenue.
