Savoy Medical Center was founded in 1950 by Dr. Frank Savoy, Sr. and Dr. Frank Savoy, Jr. Encompassing over 200,000 square feet, SMC is a 176-bed general acute care hospital, including ten beds designated for Intensive Care. Adjacent to the hospital is Savoy Cancer Center, which provides radiation and oncology services.

Savoy Medical Center (SMC) New Horizons has specialized in the treatment of emotional and behavioral disturbances for over 20 years. Our experienced team of professionals, including our Psychiatrists, a Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, RNs, LPNs, a Recreational Therapist, Licensed Social Workers and Counselors, and Mental Health Technicians, identifies, treats and implements a plan for each patient using a multidisciplinary approach.

Savoy Medical Center is dedicated to providing high quality, technically advanced cancer treatment in Evangeline Parish. SCC at Savoy Medical Center delivers advanced radiation therapy, chemotherapy and infusion therapy. The enhanced services provided by the Center include a board-certified oncologist/hematologist, an oncology nurse practitioner and a radiation oncologist.
