If you are looking for a driving school with experience and a solid reputation, O'Neill's Driving Schoolis here to assist you. All of our instructors are formally trained i.a.w Va. Department of Education requirements. They are experienced, licensed, bonded, and certified by DMV. O'Neill's Driving School is inspected by DMV annually and all instructors are required to have an annual FBI background check.

All of our vehicles are inspected annually by DMV and have required instructor assist equipment, and other safety equipment. We provide a Driver Improvement Clinic for those who need to update their awareness, reduce points or may need to meet employment, insurance, DMV or court requirements. We provide " Behind The Wheel " training for teenagers that need to complete the DMV mandate for 7 days, 14 periods of training with a certified instructor.

Online Driver's Education Course
Report
O'Neill's Driving School partners with the National Driver Training Institute to offer a state-approved online course option for new drivers. This course is computer generated and is self-paced. Please follow the course procedure below to enroll and complete the course.

The program consists of at least 30 hours of instructions and includes components about alcohol safety, drug abuse awareness, aggressive driving, distracted driving, pedestrian and bicycle safety, handicapped parking, fuel efficient driving practices, motorcycle awareness and organ and tissue awareness as required by law.You must be at least 15 years and 6 months old to take the online driver education course.
Driver Improvement And Defensive Driving

O'Neill's Driving School provides a Driver Improvement Clinic that is sponsored by the National Traffic Safety Institute (NTSI) and certified by DMV. Our instructors are certified by NTSI and DMV and are inspected annually. The course is 8 hours long and meets all the requirements established by DMV and the State of Virginia Traffic Court System.
Behind the Wheel Training-Teens
Report
DMV requires students under the age of 18 to complete 14 periods of behind the wheel instruction with a certified instructor. This is a 7-day course where the student drives for a period of 50 minutes then observes another student for a period of 50 minutes each day. On the 7th day of training the student will be evaluated and if they successfully complete the evaluation they will be given an interim/temporary paper license.
Adult In-Car Training

Adult students are considered to be 18 years or older. DMV has no direct requirement for training adult students behind the wheel, but we do follow the current DMV requirements and assessments as established for teens. We provide training for adults as a private lesson and it is scheduled at an hourly rate.
Driver Education Classroom Training

O'Neill's Driving School offers 2 opportunities to complete the DMV requirement for classroom training. Each of these courses meets DMV requirements but provide the student with a choice of a self-guided or instructor interactive program. We provide a 36 period Resident Class that meets DMV requirements but has direct "one on one" interaction with a classroom instructor.
