About four or five years ago, I grabbed one of our batteries off the shelf and put it in my truck. That thing started up every morning for a long time. Of course no car battery lasts forever, so eventually I had to swap it out. But the batteries I put in my truck are the same quality you'll get for your car.
Reconditioning process

Get rid of the crud on the inside of the battery. When your battery gets used over and over again, corrosion builds up on the lead plates inside. This makes it harder for them to hold a charge, and it muddies up the acid, which makes it less effective. We desulfate the lead plates and add new acid if needed, so it gets a clean, fresh start from the inside out.
