Quality is what you want for your cherished keepsakes and what you can expect from the Framemakers. Our vast frame and mat combinations offer preservation with a flair of beauty. Posters, photographs, paintings, diplomas, child's drawings, sports jerseys, and shadowbox items are our specialties. We can accommodate you for your personal taste, budget, and time, sometimes in as little as 24 hours depending on materials in stock.
Each consultation is a 30 (or more, depending on the complexity and quantity of the project) minute one-on-one service. A $25 deposit is required when booking online and will be applied to your order upon consultation completion. Not certain what your project is going to need, or if your consultation will need more time?

You can pick up a photo frame from just about anywhere. However, choices and quality are limited. In a custom frame shop, the options are expanded greatly. A multitude of ready-made photo frames in a wide variety of colors and styles are available. But the selection does not stop there: how about adding a mat, or adding conservation-grade Museum glass instead of regular picture glass?

A stunning, heartfelt piece: a wedding invitation with dried floral arrangement in back. A Larson-Juhl moulding made with real seashells and three layers of gold fillet accent the piece. Antique pistol shadowbox complete with brass plaque. This particular firearm is a single-shot flintlock pistol, recently given to an officer by his unit upon his retirement.

Since 2014, The Framemakers, in downtown Waterville, ME, has dedicated wall and window space to celebrate creative works by local and regional artists while contributing to the creative local community. We maintain two gallery models: the physical gallery, which we curate both here at the shop and a satellite gallery at Selah Tea Cafe, and an online gallery.
