Be able to swim at least 2 self-rescue strokes 250 yards or more (elementary backstroke, side-stroke, breaststroke). Be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to use swimming as a fitness tool and self-rescue skill. Swimming is a wonderful and fun skill, but must be approached with the know-how to make it safe.

This is our all-season indoor location located just off Vandiver Drive between Providence Road and Rangeline. Macher Swim School's Office Hours: Phones cannot always be answered but messages will be returned as soon as we can. We do not have a full time/part time office person so calls are returned when instructor or owners are not in the water.

Determine the correct level for your child by referring to our course content on the Swim Lessons page, or talk to a staff member. If several classes need to be made up, but cannot be done within the next 2 weeks, ask the office for a letter of credit. We do not normally offer refunds, but offer instead Letters of Credit to make up missed classes.

Job Description: Macher Swim School is hiring for swim instructors to teach swimming lessons to children and/or adults. Morning, evening, and weekend teaching times. Position also shares in the responsibility of pool and facility maintenance and cleaning. Job duties could include locker room cleaning, stocking, pool readings, laundry, wood-stove, and student scheduling as well as others.

For children this means the water was entered without an adult's knowledge. Beat the statistics In Missouri, drowning is the second leading cause of death for children 5 years old and younger.
