After eight years in the fastener industry in Chicago, our owner and founder Marvin Kocian set out on his own establishing Komar Screw Corp. in 1969 as a full-line fastener distributor. In 1972, purchasing the assets and equipment of a cold-header in the southeast, Komar was in the manufacturing business.
