I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying summer activities! After a very successful Master Class series for our Musicfest Divisions this past last May, I am happy to say that the 2022 season is well into the planning stages and we are planning not only a successful festival for 2022, but the celebration of our 75th anniversary season (finally)!
There are some changes to Musicfest that we would like to make you aware of. The Guitar and Organ division have unfortunately been eliminated as divisions from the festival. However, there is a new division that has been added. It is the "Original Composition" Division. Although we are sad for the elimination of the Guitar and Organ divisions, we are excited to be adding the Original Composition Division.

Musicfest Northwest encourages, develops and improves the performance of young musicians and dancers through professional adjudication. Musicfest Northwest, formerly The Greater Spokane Music & Allied Arts Festival, was founded in 1945 by Spokane piano teacher Josephine Clark to celebrate the end of World War II and to "promote the arts of peace".

All adjudications are open to the public, so all are welcome to sit in on any class. We encourage your friends and family to attend adjudications, and to learn from what the adjudicator has to say to all the performers. These young musicians and dancers deserve an enthusiastic audience. Come and be inspired by their talent and by their dedication to their art.

For 75 years Musicfest Northwest has put Spokane in the forefront of cultural events for youth.
