Baldwinsville Nursery School is a non-profit, nonsectarian school for Pre-Kindergarten children, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church. Children of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome. BNS was established in 1974 to provide an effective learning environment for preschoolers. We believe that each child is unique and does his/her "work" (play) in his/her own way and at his/her own pace.
Preschool children learn best when interested and actively involved. As an inclusion preschool, BNS welcomes children of all abilities, including those with developmental delays and disabilities. Each day, children choose which learning centers to visit. The activities in each center have been carefully planned to enhance learning through play.

2 year-old Program

It's hard for our two year old students to wait in the hall before class time. Once the teachers open the door, they can't wait to come romping in and get busy exploring the toys and activities in our Toddler Room! Each week, the tabletop puzzles and other manipulative toys, as well as the contents of our sensory bin, change as we rotate through our many and varied collection to offer novel items & opportunities for learning through play.
3 Year Old Program

A typical day in our three year old classroom begins as each child enters the classroom and is greeted individually by his or her teachers. Each child is then invited to look around and find an activity that interests him/her. During this important, "play and learn" time, children can choose from many activities that have been planned by the teachers for optimal learning experiences.
