Admiral Security Services was established in 1976. In 1979, Admiral became a division of Red Coats, Inc (RCI). RCI is a District of Columbia corporation, founded in 1960 by Barbara and William Peel. Admiral has continued its pattern of responsible growth and is now the 7th largest security company in the United States.

For over four decades, Admiral continued to grow throughout the east coast and in 2018, Admiral purchased Sterling Protective Services and expanded into Texas, rebranding in that area as ADM Security Services.
