NCP has been diligently planning for the upcoming school year. We have worked with parents, our sponsoring college and are following government agencies to formulate a plan focused on safety for students, parents and staff. We are grateful for the flexibility of our staff and our NCP community as we all navigate this ever-changing situation.

We are a cooperative community of families dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate school environment where children and families learn and grow together. We know that preschool encompasses learning on social, emotional, intellectual, and physical levels. We value play, experimentation, energy and compassion.

Inchworms 1-2's
Report
Our Inchworms class, or 1-2's, is our youngest class at NCP. Often, this is a child's first preschool experience. Both the child and their caregiver attend this once weekly class. Our 1-2's class follows our general curriculum, with timing and activities adjusted for our youngest learners. Learning is child-led, with each child selecting his/her preferred activity during "free choice."
Caterpillars 2-3's
Report
In our Caterpillars, or 2-3's class, children begin to grow their independence. In this twice weekly class, a caregiver is required to attend one day per week with their child. On the second day, the child may attend independently or the parent may stay and participate. This class also incorporates once weekly small group in-class parent education.
Curriculum
Report
The children's curriculum at NCP is play-based, hands-on, experiential, and geared to young children's developmental strengths. We put a strong emphasis on social skills and conflict resolution. We encourage our children to communicate with others and to solve problems. We want children in our program to become relaxed in a school setting and look forward to learning and sharing.
Enrollment
Report
