Hickory Medical has been a central part of the of the revitalization of West Columbus Avenue in downtown Bellefontaine. We have created a state of the art medical facility in the historic King Building. We selected this site because it allows us to be easily accessible to patients and to be actively engaged in our community.
I grew up in Bellefontaine. From the time that I started school at Northeastern Elementary, I wanted to be a doctor. My father, Roger Kauffman, was a physician at Oakhill Medical Associates and spent his career serving this community. I loved to see his work and to hear his stories - from delivering babies to suturing up a kid who had an accident to comforting families as they prepared to lose a loved one.

Hickory Medical wants to be the medical home for your entire family. We provide comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine service including sick care, health maintenance, and office based procedures. We do not do prenatal care or deliveries. Our main purpose is to keep you healthy and avoid the expense and hassle of going to urgent care, emergency room, or the hospital.
