Country Swim School
Our experienced teachers have been helping children learn how to swim since 1989. At Country Swim School, we want all of our swimmers to learn to love the water, become comfortable in the water, and learn to swim with correct stroke mechanics. Most of all, we want our swimmers to learn as many safety skills as possible.

Come join our Swim School family! The small class size, consistent and experienced teachers, and warm water sets Country Swim School apart from the rest. We started our two kids at Country Swim School at an early age because we wanted them to be safe around the water. Now, they have developed beautiful swimming strokes and are currently having fun competing on a year-round USA swimming team.

About Us
Report
Country Swim School was established in 1989 by Sue Lowe. Sue became involved in aquatics in the mid 1970's while living in Ohio. She was taking daughter Robin, as well as her daycare and pre-school students to the local natatorium for swim lessons and was asked by the pool staff to help with lessons.
Philosophy
Report
That learning to swim is just as important as using the correct car seat or wearing a seat belt. That the use of floatation devices creates a false sense of security in children and parents ( H2O is the best floatation device there is). That before a child is ready to stop swimming lessons they should be able, at a minimum, to:.
Instructors
Report
At Country Swim School we take pride in the training and years of experience our instructors have. Because we believe in the importance of ongoing lessons and continuity in teaching, we hire teachers who plan on being with us for years. Sue Lowe: Sue has been teaching swimming for over 45 years. She started her aquatic career in Ohio and after moving back to Lincoln, taught at the YMCA and a private pool for a few years.
Swimming Lessons
Report
Swimming in our program is not taught on a pass/fail basis. Rather there are required skills in each level and when the swimmer completes all of these skills he or she is ready to move up to the next level. It should not be expected that each level be completed in one session. Some levels may take several sessions to complete.
Pre-School Levels
Report
Pre-Beginner I - This level is for the beginning swimmer. We will work on water adjustment, increasing comfort level and introduction of swimming skills. Pre-Beginner II - Swimmers work on being more independent in the water. They will increase the distance swum on front and back and more emphasis is placed on good body position.
