Mehmet and family arrived in Seattle in 2007 from their hometown of Sultan Han in central Turkey, long a center of rug making and repair. Mehmet is an amazing artist and craftsman-it is clear that he cares deeply about his craft. He also provides fantastic service, and is a pleasure to work with. We have a handmade rug that we got from a family friend many years ago. We love that rug, but our small kids running around on it caused to gradually come undone at the ends.
