Our mission at MZ Dance Company is to nurture and prepare passionate dancers of all ages and backgrounds with a professional classical dance education. We strive to instill a love of the art of dance in a safe, creative, high quality studio environment. Our unique program offers comprehensive Ballet training where students will participate in an original story ballet each year.
We offer Graham, Horton and Limon Modern dance classes that are usually only offered at the collegiate level and fully prepare dancers for a career in dance. We fully encourage that dancers receive a well-rounded education so we are equally passionate about all other styles of dance! Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop etc. are all important to a dancer's repertoire.

Ballet and Pointe- Develop the fundamentals of dance through control, poise, precision, fluency and grace using the technique and style of ballet. This class aims to improve body alignment, vocabulary, and correct positions of the legs, arms, feet and head. Our one of a kind Ballet program teaches Checchetti, The French method, RAD, and Vaganova methods as well as classical Variations from well known Ballets.

We will be teaming up with The Dance Shoppe in Dunedin at 400 Douglas Ave. for all shoe requirements. We also recommend On Pointe Dancewear in St. Pete for Pointe shoe fittings. Discountdance.com is also a great online retailer for all dance apparel. Boys- Black athletic shorts and a fitted white t-shirt or tank top, socks and appropriate shoes for the specific class enrolled.
