St. Frederick is a Catholic High School serving grades 7-12 with a diverse student body from many religious denominations. Our mission is to nurture students to be living examples of the teachings of Jesus Christ in an atmosphere of academic excellence. At SFHS, we believe that discovering one's role in shaping the world is an ongoing mission, that devotion to strengthening our community through service in a cornerstone to strengthening oneself.
I'm proud of the Christian values embodied in all that the school supports from academics to athletics. I feel that my children are getting a well rounded education with the opportunity to participate in athletics and other extra curricular activities. Frederick gave me the background I needed to succeed in medical school.

School History

St. Hyacinth Academy, founded in 1864, served the community until St. Matthew School was built in 1927. In 1960 the grade school moved to Jesus the Good Shepherd School. The location of St. Matthew's was unsuitable for any growth and modernization, making the prospect of a new Catholic high school appealing to the students of St. Matthew's and area Catholics.
