Never Too Late Basketball
Never Too Late Basketball was formed in 1992 by Steve Bzomowski, former assistant basketball coach at Harvard University and NBA scout. Since then thousands of beginning, novice, intermediate, and advanced level recreational adult players, men and women, from more than a dozen countries, plus aspiring professionals (and kids in the Parent/Kid clinics), have taken part in Never Too Late Basketball instructional programs.

Our specialty is assessing players' abilities, introducing them to new and improved and updated skills through drills and evaluation, all the while providing feedback and instruction. I've been taking the intro class in Brooklyn for a few years and it's everything I wanted in that high school team (minus the away games in the dead of winter).

Playing basketball presents us with many opportunities. It is a game in which individual expression can flourish. It is a game where, when played well and with proper intention, can show exactly why working together brings success and good feelings.

That's pretty much what we do at the NTL Weekend Camps: introduce, instruct, give you loads of feedback with your individual skills, put you in a team concept with a great coach, prepare a plan to evaluate you and make sure that when you go home to your leagues and pick-up games, that you have more knowledge, more skill, more appreciation for the game and your role in it.
Weekly Practices

For fully vaccinated and masked players only. This is where it all began for Never Too Late Basketball 28 years ago. An enthusiastic and energized group of players eager to learn and drill the basics, readying themselves to play the game!

It's all about technique and the fundamentals: dribbling; shooting form; wrong foot (all the rage these days) layups and classic form layups; defensive positioning; offensive positioning (where and when to go where it is most helpful for your team); fast break situations; rebounding. All the little things (and big things!)

Close to the hoop (inside), away from the hoop (outside). We haven't been inside on a basketball court with a coach to resurrect the skills we once had, to expand our skill set, deepen our love of what we do with this game in quite awhile. Let's turn this time away on its head; let's get back into all the skills we need, from one side of the floor to the other, from the floor to the rim.

The pandemic took the ball out of most players' hands. NTL is putting it back. Back to work on conditioning, ball handling, shooting skills, defense and team play. NTL pandemic play means skills and drills, strategy, getting the game comfortable in your psyche for the first time or once again.
