For 24 years, we have proudly served the Minneapolis area and surrounding communities of Wayzata, Mound, Minnetrista, Excelsior, Waconia, Tonka Bay, Minnetonka, Shorewood, Deephaven, Greenwood, Spring Park, Orono, Navarre, Brainerd Area, Chanhassen, St. Bonifacius and many other communities throughout the state of Minnesota.
In 1990 Andy Williamson opened Midwest Boat Appeal for business in Tonka Bay, offering boat cleaning and detailing services. After two years MWB expanded services to include fiberglass and gel coat repair along with wood refinishing. In 1995 the business was moved to Excelsior on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.

BS 1088 Hydrotek

BS 1088 Hydrotek is a multi-ply marine plywood that is superior to all standard Meranti plywood currently produced. Okoume

Our Okoume marine plywood is European made to a British Standard 1088 grade and is Lloyds Registered. Okoume marine plywood is lightest in weight among marine plywood products available. It has the best strength to weight ratio. Okoume is strong and easy to work with for tooling. It has moderate resistance to rot and mildew.
Teak

Our teak marine plywood is a beautiful marine panel commonly used for cabin soles. Teak marine plywood has medium density and is very rot and mildew resistant. Teak and Holly uses a tropical hardwood for its core veneers, constructed with a waterproof glue. Due to the natural oils and silica found in teak, it can clog sand paper and dull edged tools.
