Travis offers New Hampshire Guitar Lessons and Bass lessons for people of all ages, abilities and styles. Studio lessons are available in Manchester, Nashua and Bedford. Travis will also travel to you if you want to learn in the comfort of your own home. Travis is patient, friendly and well experienced in teaching.

Remember lessons are always customized for the individual and move at the pace set by the student, no pressure just fun and enjoyment! I've been studying with Travis for over two months and I enjoyed having lessons with him. My favorite genre is Jazz and I like Travis' teaching philosophy which focuses on ear training and musicality of playing.

It's important to know that Guitar is a difficult instrument to PROPERLY learn at first. It is not a linear instrument such as the piano - the notes are harder to "see". There is also the physical challenge of playing the guitar. Beginners are often discouraged when they can't get their fingers to do what they want.

Due to the physical nature of guitar, the youngest someone should be is 5. Any younger, the physical challenges are just too numerous. However, people as young as 2 can start recognizing some MUSIC basics like simple rhythms and one or two note melodies. Just remember no matter what age, some musical abilities can be learned.
