Established in 1999, Tamarack was designed as a traditional 18-hole golf course in Oswego, NY with subtleties at every turn. As kids, Jeff LaBouef and I often dreamed of building a golf course. We started fulfilling that dream in 1995 when we purchased land on County Route 1 in the Town of Scriba. My brother Joe Lawton and I began mapping out the initial nine-hole layout. Perhaps the most rewarding and toughest task is to walk into fifty acres of thick woods and wetland, and design a layout that will have character enough to satisfy golfers with varying skill levels.

We're proud to host David Cliff as our certified golf instructor and club repair technician. David has been with Tamarack Golf Club since 2000, first as an assistant greens keeper, and after graduating from The Golf Academy of America, he returned to offer professional lessons and run the repair shop.

Our Youth Golf Camp is a fun, focused opportunity for girls and boys ages 5-18 to get on the green early, have fun with friends for 5 days, and learn to love the game of golf.
