The Glen Rock Cooperative Nursery School was founded in 1965 and has grown continuously for over 50 years. The School uniquely combines the finest pre-school education (including New Jersey state certified programs and teachers) with parental participation at every level.
The School is an ideal atmosphere for allowing each individual child to grow emotionally and intellectually in a group setting while allowing parents the special opportunity to both witness their child's growth and to share in their first formal educational experience.Current research shows that such active parental involvement improves children's academic performance.

Report
All classes are based on the School's Philosophy of Learning Through Play. Our 3 through 4-year-old classes and TK also include a yoga instructor once a week. All classes have seasonal, age appropriate field trips and guest speakers. Mommy & Me is a class for children ages 18 months to 2 years to attend with a parent or caregiver.

We are excited to introduce extended days for our 4 Year Olds and Transitional Kindergarteners with our new STEAM Program. Also note that there is a fifth day option for 4's. The Curious Reader, located at 229 Rock Rd., is a wonderful place to find great books for your children! The owners are terrific and will help you discover some wonderful, age-appropriate reads!

The Co-Op is located in (but not affiliated with) The Community Church. The physical address is listed as 354 Rock Road HOWEVER the parking lot for the GRC is accessible only from Hamilton Avenue. Hamilton Avenue intersects with Rock Road to the northwest of the GRC. There is a driveway leading from the GRC and the Community Church onto Rock Road, but it is an exit only driveway.

I'm so grateful I was pointed in the direction of the co-op. In one year, my daughter has blossomed into an inquisitive, adventurous, outgoing person and absolutely loves going to school every day. We have started our fist year and it has been a lovely experience. My 3 year old is happy to go to school every day and play with his friends.
