Through years of experience, our newborn photographer Kristina knows the best ways to pose your baby boy or girl for exquisite portraits while creating a soothing experience for the baby. There are three main positions used when creating cute poses for your little one: on their back, on their side, and on their stomach.

What is a sitter session? Sitter sessions are one of the types of milestone shoots, capture when your baby is able to sit up unassisted. Sitter sessions generally take place when your baby is between six and nine months old, which is when they can crawl and sit up on their own but not walk. That means they're not quite as mobile as they are at the 1-year session so they are easier to wrangle and pose for adorable portraits.
