When Roy Smith Rushing opened his doors to the public, all he had to his name was a rickety old sewing machine, a box of shoe polish, shine brushes, thread, and the willingness to work to make a living. His family remained in New Orleans while he basically lived in his store, slowly accumulating the means to provide for them.

Boot and shoe repair is done in our store by us for fast turnaround times. Because shoe repair must be brought to our store by the customer, all prices are subject to sales tax. Sorry, we do not offer shoe repair by mail. Example: If you need a 3/4 inch buildup, that will require a 1/2 inch layer and a 1/4 inch layer.

I got directions to go back there in person, I ordered from them in the past and the Boot's and products are made extremely well and that's the reason for me wanting to visit in person and look at all that thay have instok, I will up date this in the neer futer..
I also gave a five star rating, every one is diffrent there for I want to make sure that it's creastl clear with no dought-. I prefer to shop in person on hands and visoel byeing_. My nephew's birthday was coming up and I had NO idea what to get him. I did in fact know he was a big Da Baby fan. You know the kids these days and their rappers, hahaha. So anyways, I called up Rushing Shoes and they knew EXACTLY what I wanted. All I had to say was Da Baby and they were right on it. I was given gator skin boots with Da Baby's face printed onto them. Honestly their quality is amazing and it was clear as day that I came to the right place. After changing my nephews diaper I gave him his Birthday present! He started tearing then proceeded to bawl. HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY JARED!!!! 5

The only place I will go. Family owned by Hometown people, great family 4 generations that I know of. Same treatment from the oldest to the youngest!!! Acknowledgement soon as you enter the door.. Mr. George does great work in shoe repair he’s like family to us all. If you haven’t been there, give it a chance I believe you’ll keep going back!!!!

Stop here few times a year, sometimes to purchase, sometimes to just look, and other times for a safe place to stretch my legs while traveling thru. No matter what the reason, I am always treated the same. They are always welcoming, grateful and warm, as though I am family (even tho I don't know their names nor do they knw mine). I love this store for way more than merchandise! Great Awesome Family Business!
