We just saw the play Deathtrap and it was great. The actors were great and the play was funny and suspenseful. I highly recommend plays at The Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck.

Two shows watched here thus far. Jesus Christ Superstar was transcendent! Unconventional casting. Good amplification without being overly loud. Intimate seating with good views from anywhere in the house. The only downside is that there are only three single-occupant bathrooms, so the lines during intermission will be long. Concessions available. Ticketing on-site and on-line. Ample parking out front.

Cast did a great job. Venue is weak and the continuing series of depressing show selections is sad. They used to do lots of upbeat shows but we have stopped going because on a night out, watching a depressing show is not what we like!

Last night my wife and I saw their production of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". This production exceeded all of our expectations. I have seen dozens of broadway shows, and this production was comparable.
Sean Matthew Whiteford was transcendent as Hedwig and gave the performance his all. I would highly recommend anyone traveling in the area to check out a production.

Such an impressive place. Ive seen two shows at the Center and both have been true to the Broadway experience. I very much look forward to seeing 42nd Street next.
