Signe has had a lifelong desire to sing that started when she echoed the Irish lullabies of her mother and has continued on stages of all sizes and on three continents. The family traditions included singing for houseguests, handing down helpful techniques for the high notes, and hearing nightly beautiful Irish ditties like "Too-rah-loo-rah-loo-rah", "Glocca Mora", "When Irish Eyes are Smiling", and "Danny Boy".
Her inherited talent was recognized throughout her school years with solos in school and church productions and was formally discovered when she won a voice scholarship by audition from the "Hollywood Opera Reading Club". At the University of Southern California, she took music theory classes and diction for the singing of international songs.
