Kudos to Wellspring clients Esperanza Spaulding and Mia Friedman! Esperanza's debut major label album, recorded at Wellspring, just helped win her the "Best New Artist" award at the 2011 Grammy Awards! Mia recently won the John Lennon Songwriting Competition in the folk category for her song "Across the Water" which is part of the album "Unruly Heart" recorded at Wellspring with her sister Ariel.

The new studio A features a 40' x 35' live room with maple floors and 12' - 14' ceilings, a 22' x 25' acoustically-designed control room with 1/2" and 1" mixdown decks, and 4 iso booths of various shapes and sizes. Wellspring's new studio B now features a comfortable 14' x 18' control room and a 13' x 14' live room.

Radar 24 with 96 K Nyquist Converters, 24 track TDIF and ADAT lightpipe I/O, can burn 24 bit wave files directly to CD or DVD.

Wellspring recently added 3 professional quality Panasonic AG-HMC150 HD camcorders to the roster. These cameras shoot HD quality images in the AVCHD format on SDHC media cards, and work well in most light conditions. The cameras rent for $45 per day per camera, and media costs per camera ( which have been dropping regularly) are around $10 per hour of shoot time per camera.

From Boston/Cambridge: Take Rt. 2 west from Memorial Drive and Alewife Station in Cambridge, cross Rt. 128, go another 8 miles to the rotary in Concord next to the prison (roughly 3 miles beyond the Walden Pond exit). Go 1/3 of the way around the rotary, get on Rt. 2A and 119, and go another 3 miles to Rt. 27.
