We are a casual yacht club with both sailing and cruising members as well as non-boat owners. Some of our activities include an annual predicted log race, planned cruises, sail boat races, and marine swap meet. We have reciprocal agreements with over 100 other Yacht Clubs which offer our cruising members reduced or free moorage and access for all our members to these other clubs amenities.
We hold a Burger & Brew the 1st Friday of each month and a Dinner Meeting on the 3rd Friday of each month, and various other social events throughout the year.

The Port Angeles Yacht Club's history goes back over a century, see our Club History section for more fun information and photos. It has evolved over the years as the community and members changed but has continued to hold on to traditions. Ultimately their goal is to provide a place where boat enthusiasts, whether they own a boat or not, can congregate and share their passion, knowledge and interests.
History

PAYC was founded in 1893 by a group of ardent sailboat racers, fishermen and civic leaders who were passionate in their belief that the Port Angeles harbor provided a world class opportunity for sport, seafood harvest, boatbuilding, and general enjoyment.
After decades of assisting with Port development, racing, cruising and wartime service to the nation through the USCG Auxiliary, club members formally incorporated PAYC in 1937 as a casual yacht club for people who loved being on and around the water, boat owners or no, emphasizing good seamanship and camaraderie.
