Rick grew up in the sporting goods business in Oklahoma and started working in the screen printing shop for his dad when he was 14 years old. After graduating with a degree in business finance and banking, he moved to Arizona in 1990 and went to work for a small t-shirt shop named T-Shirt Bob's. He purchased the company soon after for a small sum and has built it up into a successful growing business in the S/E Valley.
