Yellowstone Ballet Company is a classical Montana ballet company founded by Kathleen Rakela who began teaching ballet in Livingston in 1987 and incorporated the non-profit performing company in 1990 to give area dancers performance opportunities. YBC is supported by donations, grants, ticket sales and the hard work of many volunteers.
Through partial funding from the Montana Cultural Trust we have staged the classics: Swan Lake, La Fille Mal Gardee, Cinderella, Giselle and The Nutcracker, and produced original ballets: Hiawatha, Hansel & Gretel ~ with a Twist, Romeo & Juliet of the Rockies, Elves & the Shoemaker, The Little Mermaid and Pinocchio.
