Since 1978, Surf City has been the local's choice for core surf shops here on The Grand Strand. We believe in quality customer service, and strive to provide you with a unique experience that will leave a lasting impression. We offer surf lessons, SUP eco-tours, board and bike rentals, board repair, custom surfboards and skateboards.

Every lesson begins with an introduction to the surfboard and ocean safety, where your instructor will teach you techniques that minimize error and maximize safety. You will learn how to observe the ocean in a way where you will be able to identify danger zones, such as a rip current, and how to calmly and safely navigate through one.

Paddle boarding (SUP) has found mass popularity around the world because of its versatility and easy learning curve. You can enjoy a zen moment, a workout, fishing from your SUP, catching waves, or just taking in all of the natural beauty that you will experience when out on the water.

We will be able to efficiently teach you the techniques, mechanics, and fundamentals, so you and your family can maximize your time touring our beautiful eco systems.We also rent and deliver paddle boards if you would like for us to assist you in organizing your own self-guided eco-tour. No experience necessary, as our experienced guides will get you up and paddling in no time.

You made it to the beach but you don't have a board. No worries! Give us a call, or better yet, stop by the shop at 6303 N. Kings Hwy., and get some face time with our knowledgeable staff. We'll get you perfectly paired with the board that is going to make your beach time all the more memorable. If this is your first time, or if you just need a little brushing up, we offer lessons for any style board you want to take out.

We are excited to announce the dates for this years summer surf camps. We will be offering camps for beginner and intermediate surfers so please be sure to choose the correct camp for your abilities. Camp will include an introduction to water and surfing fundamentals, water safety, and surfing etiquette.
