In 1969, two men were watching a soccer match in Glen Cove. It was a beautiful day and while they were enjoying the game, these two insightful men, who, by the way, had just met for the first time, came up with an idea! Why not start a soccer league for the youth in Glen Cove? Hence the birth of The Glen Cove Junior Soccer League!
Marco Malusa, one of the founders of the Glen Cove Soccer Club, and Bill Doyle formed the first Glen Cove travel team ever, a team of U19 boys, to play in the fledgling Long Island Junior Soccer League. Over the next few years more travel teams were formed and Glen Cove became a force throughout Long Island.

Intramurals
Report
The Glen Cove Jr Soccer Intramural Program is comprised of Boys and Girls from the age of 6-14 and runs in Fall and Spring seasons. It is a child's first experience in organized soccer. Try-outs are not necessary to register for Intramural Program. Children are typically trained by parents and community volunteers.
Referee Program
Report
The Glen Cove Junior Soccer League intramural referee program is for individuals aged 13 and older. You must register online and have an email address to participate. Registration does not guarantee acceptance. Space in the program is limited and all applicants must attend two mandatory training sessions to qualify for the program.
Travel
Report
It takes a large number of volunteers to put together schedules, games and all activities. Our league is filled with strong players and they only get better with training. We have those trainers available with the partnership of the Glen Cove Soccer League and Mike Cipriano of Gold Coast FC. Come join us for one of our Travel Team games and see the quality of players that develop within the Glen Cove Junior Soccer League.
