We have over 10 years experience working with dogs in a daycare environment. We have a true passion for dogs, but loving dogs isn't enough when running a safe daycare. Knowledge is crucial, and we are proud to say that we get to know each and every dog inside and out, literally! We quickly learn their personalities, play-styles, friends (yes, there are doggie cliques), quirks, lumps and bumps, bowel movements, drool consistency.
Dogs are supervised by trained Handlers 100% of the time while at daycare. They are separated into three areas by temperament and size. We accept dogs of all ages once they have passed our temperament test and are current per our health requirements. Peninsula Pups also offers training and grooming so your dog can have some good clean fun!

To say that my dog changed my life is an understatement and does not give him the tribute he deserves. Please let me introduce myself. My name is Liz Freitag, owner of Peninsula Pups, and my guardian angel is my Basenji Mix, Job (as in the patience of Job). Job and I rescued each other while living in the concrete jungle of Chicago.

Dogs that are not socialized oftentimes suffer from anxiety. By nature, dogs are pack animals and crave canine socialization.

I just wanted to text you and let you know how thrilled I am with the care and training Boog receives at Peninsula Pups. I just took him to the MPS crew regatta. He was perfectly behaved. He was mellow, friendly, and chill! He ignored the yappy dogs, let every high school kid in the tri-state area pet him, and didn't flinch when the bullhorns went off to start the races.
Daycare Requirements

All dogs must pass a temperament test before attending daycare. If six months have lapsed since your dog has attended daycare, your dog must be re-evaluated. Temperament tests are administered by our General Manager and Certified Dog Trainer, Colin Keith, using control dogs. Dogs exhibiting signs of aggression will not be allowed in daycare.
