Captain Kevin Backus, Grandson the Legendary Homer LeBlanc, is your guide. Mr. Muskie Charters offers Muskie, Small Mouth Bass, Bass/Muskie Combo, Walleye, Sturgeon and Perch Charters as well as Sunset Cruises for those who don't fish, on Lake St. Clair, St. Clair River and Detroit River. He has taken his grandfathers knowledge and learned the seasonal movements and habits of the of the different species in the lake.

His grandfather, the legendary Muskie fisherman Homer LeBlanc, passed on his knowledge and skills required to be a legendary fisherman. Kevin has been around muskies and Lake St. Clair all his life, now he wants to pass this knowledge and love of fishing onto you.

The year 2008 marked the 35th 'birthday' of Michigan's highly successful Master Angler Program. Launched in 1973 to better recognize anglers who catch unusually large fish, the Master Angler program began with just 19 species of fish eligible to win distinctive Master Angler shoulder patches. Today, more than a quarter-century later, that program has expanded to include 52 various species for which anglers may compete for honors.
