Elli Pittas is the President and CEO of Women's HealthCare Imaging Center. Elli has close to thirty years of experience in the development and management of high technology diagnostic imaging facilities. Over the course of her career she has served in both executive management and board positions of publicly traded imaging centers, and run a successful medical billing company.

We offer Digital Mammography with CAD, it's the latest technology in breast imaging. It has high-speed digital imaging with a zoom lens to produce images of the breast with greater accuracy and clarity than older digital or film mammography. The system also uses the lowest possible dose of radiation and has compression paddles that adapt to each patient's unique breast size and density to provide the utmost comfort during the screening.

When there is more breast tissue the breast is considered dense. On a mammogram dense tissue looks white. Since masses or lumps also appear white on a mammogram, a suspicious lump may be masked by the dense breast tissue. Women with extremely dense breast tissue have a 4 to 6 times greater risk of developing breast cancer than women who do not have dense breast tissue.

This non-invasive test is performed using advanced DEXA equipment to identify potential bone mineral loss or osteoporosis. Our Hologic Digital Bone Scanner uses a unique pencil beam targeted X-ray, which means our patients are only exposed to the minimum amount of radiation necessary to perform this screening.
