State Board
The State Board of Community Colleges meets on the third Thursday and Friday of each month, with the exception of June and December.* Committees convene on Thursday afternoons. The full Board convenes Friday at 9 a.m. In the event a meeting is required during these months, potential meeting dates have been established.
Proprietary School Board
Proprietary Schools are for-profit businesses which provide vocational education and training. Under Article 8, Chapter 115D of the North Carolina General Statutes, the State Board of Community Colleges, acting by and through the State Board of Proprietary Schools, licenses proprietary schools in North Carolina.

The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) dashboards allow users to explore and interact with NCCCS data by theme. The dashboards are designed to help colleges access the data and information needed to facilitate institutional effectiveness and program improvement. Dashboards include system and college-level data views, disaggregations, historical trends, and peer comparisons.
State and Federal Reports
The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Office facilitates and supports college and system fulfillment of state, regional, and national reporting requirements. Associated reporting efforts help colleges identify institutional strengths and weaknesses by providing access to historical trends and peer comparisons.
Strategic Plan
The State Board of Community Colleges has adopted a strategic plan to guide the North Carolina Community College System through 2022. By 2020, 67% of jobs in North Carolina are projected to require postsecondary education. Yet in 2015, only an estimated 48% of North Carolina's prime working-age (18-64) adults had a postsecondary degree, certification, license or other credential of workplace value.
