With over 40 years of teaching experience, Sheryl founded Dance Expressions in 1990 and has trained dancers accepted into top institutions like Joffrey Ballet and ABT. She specializes in masterclasses and award-winning productions while leading Allure Dance Company.
Shannon Einhardt
Co-Director & Artistic Director
Holds a BA in Dance from Western Michigan University with 20+ years teaching experience. Directs Allure Dance Company and serves as an award-winning competition coach, known for energetic teaching and national workshop instruction.
Susan Clayton
Ballet Instructor
Teaching for over 25 years, Susan brings professional performance experience from companies like Ballet Michigan and international tours. Certified in YogaMedics and EasyFlexibility, she develops holistic ballet techniques and teaches at Novi High School.
Jocelyn Phillips
Pom & Hip Hop Coach
Teaching since 2016, Jocelyn leads award-winning competition teams and offers expertise in Pom, Hip Hop, and Tumbling. With 15 years of training experience, she choreographs for school teams and develops figure skaters at Civic Ice Arena.
Gabby Heabeart
Ballet & Contemporary Coach
A lifelong dancer and graduate of Wayne State's BFA program, Gabby specializes in ballet and contemporary styles. Developing her Masters in Teaching Artistry, she creates supportive learning environments while coaching competition teams.

What dance styles do you offer for children?
We provide ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and pom classes for ages 18 months to teens with developmentally appropriate curricula and certified instructors.
Are there performance opportunities for students?
Yes! Competitive dancers participate in regional events while recreational students enjoy annual recitals and community performances throughout the year.
Do you offer flexible scheduling options?
Our schedule includes weekday evening classes, Saturday sessions, and multiple levels Monday-Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM with childcare available.
What are your dress code requirements?
Class-specific attire includes leotards/tights for ballet/jazz, convertible tights for contemporary, and loose dancewear for hip hop. Strict dress codes ensure proper movement observation.
Are make-up classes available?
Students can schedule make-up sessions by appointment during designated open class times with advance notice recommended through our scheduling system.
