Originally founded by 16 community-minded women as the Overlook Auxiliary, our organization has evolved from providing hospital linens to operating a full-service gift and floral shop. Located in the heart of Overlook Medical Center's lobby, we combine tradition with modern convenience through our extensive product offerings and dedicated volunteer staff. Our floral department, led by professional designer Laura McDowell since 2007, creates custom arrangements using the freshest seasonal blooms. We specialize in personalized gift baskets and maintain a diverse inventory including boutique clothing, jewelry, books, and unique home goods.Our commitment to community remains unwavering, with all profits directly supporting medical center programs and initiatives. We pioneered local honey sales from our on-site apiary, selling over 3,500 jars to date. During the pandemic, we maintained operations to provide essential goods and curbside services to frontline workers. Our team of 35+ staff and volunteers, many with 15+ years of service, ensures exceptional customer care. We offer complimentary local delivery and maintain partnerships with medical center departments to enhance patient experiences through room visits and hairdressing services.

Being across the country is tough when a friend is in the hospital. I called The Gift Shop and Bloom and was giving affordable options to send to my friend. Service was quick and easy and very friendly. The recipient of the flowers sent me a photo and I was impressed. I highly recommend them.

I have used Bloom for flowers for numerous occasions over the last 10 years and have always been pleased. If you need flowers for a holiday, special event or a birthday, this should be your go to place! They provide free local delivery as well as delivery to Overlook Medical Center. Bloom has a wide variety of flowers and they last "forever"! Also, great customer service and will work within your budget.

It has been a pleasure to work with Bloom for my floral needs. It is so easy to call, order, pay in advance and take advantage of free local delivery for yourself (for parties or holiday arrangements etc) or when sending flowers to others. Additionally, you can pull up to the front door of the hospital and a Bloom employee will bring arrangements out to your car if you are on the go. It's a great way to support Overlook!
