This scenic Ohio horseback ride takes you through the haunted Moonville Tunnel to where the old town of Moonville was once located. This beautiful ride takes you across ridges with views of creeks and beaver dams, as well as Lookout Rock and the longest creek in Ohio! This gentle, one-hour ride is well suited for families and people of all experience levels.
The trail was named for an old coal bucket left by early 20th century farmers. We run scenic, guided horseback rides through Zaleski State Forest near Lake Hope State Park. Enjoy our Coal Bucket Trail (1 hour), our Lookout Rock Trail (2 hours), and the Moonville Tunnel Trail (2.5 hours). Food and beverage, including beer and wine, are served in The Lady Buck Saloon.

This is an exhilarating ride that winds across the ridges down to Racoon Creek (the longest creek in the world) and passes under Lookout Rock. This trail offers views of the old abandoned railroad bed, beaver dams, and marshes before climbing out of the deep forest back to Uncle Buck's. Uncle Buck's provides you with some of the most beautiful, healthy, well-trained horses in the business.

Several of the horses have been rescued by us directly or by working through The Last Chance Coral (a local horse rescue operation). We provide a happy home for our horses and let them live out their old age with dignity.
