Sun and Surf Beach Club, founded in 1948, is the premier private beach club in Nassau County. Just 45 minutes from Manhattan by car or train, it is extremely accessible to families in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County. Our timeless appeal is best measured by generations of families that return season after season.
Sun and Surf is situated on over 50 acres of pristine beach area. The Club boasts an Olympic size swimming pool, kiddie pool, tennis, basketball, bocce courts, playgrounds and miles of beach front on the Atlantic Ocean. Our amenities include a restaurant and bar with family events and theme nights throughout the season.

Located directly behind the pool, our cafeteria offers an eclectic menu of American style foods. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets and french fries along with a variety of juices, sports drinks, sodas and water. Cold cut and Grilled Chicken sandwiches plus healthy options such as salads are prepared daily.

When we receive your application and deposit, we will automatically put you on the appropriate waiting list. We will make every effort to secure a bath cabin or cabana for you, but most of our members re-new on a year-to-year basis, thus accommodation availability is limited. Naturally, if we cannot accommodate you, your deposit will be refunded in full.
Employment

The Sun and Surf Beach Club offers employment in a variety of different fields such as: lifeguarding, security, food services, camp counseling, landscaping, maintenance, and cabana attending for anyone over the age of 14. All prospective employees under the age of 18 must have working papers. Every prospective employee is required to submit an application.
