It has been a few months since Tony Inzero opened Candlewood Market coffee shop a mile from the nearest Starbucks, but he said his coffee could give the chain some competition. The Brookfield resident opened the coffee shop in December with his family within the Sportsplex at 85 Mill Plain Road in Fairfield with the goal of giving the community a high-quality alternative.

Fairfield, CT - The Sportsplex is now home to Candlewood Market, Candlewood Coffee's flagship store. Tony Inzero of Brookfield CT has been producing and selling his locally roasted Candlewood coffees to markets around the country for nearly a decade. The family-owned business imports the finest Arabicas from around the world.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Working out at one of the gyms or studios at Fairfield's Sportsplex can work up a powerful appetite. And Candlewood Market and Tea Emporium just opened at the Mill Plain Road complex to cater to the famished fitness buffs. The new flagship store of Candlewood Coffee, the 2,000-square-foot market will offer hot and cold-brewed coffee and tea, Kombucha on tap and a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods.

The other day, a mom friend and I decided to venture out to a coffee shop with our babies.
